A Kansas City man apparently was looking for convenience when he allegedly tried to rob a bank on Thursday.
Authorities said the man pulled into the drive-in lane at a Capitol Federal Savings Bank branch in Topeka. He demanded money, but the teller refused to hand over a dime. The man drove off in a stolen car and was later arrested in a Wal-Mart parking lot, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. Gregory D. Crosby, 44, was charged in federal court with attempted bank robbery, authorities said today. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Kansascity |
